
Josh Schwarz
This is Josh’s first year of GECing after hearing many rumours of its epicness from year levels above. He was elected as the CEO of ASMS group and has crazy skills with computers and video cameras.
Kirsty Hill
Kirsty was elected joint CEO of ASMS GEC team. She works closely with the finance team, and does extra tasks for her role as CEO. She enjoyed working as part of the ASMS GEC team because it was a good learning experience.
James Hodgkinson-bean
James has skills in many areas required for good results in the GEC. In general he is good at keeping people calm and collected under high stress situations. He deals with the people issues and still manages to help in other areas sharing all his opinions no matter how relevant they are.
Ben Turner
Ben Turner is an organised person, and he likes to look at things from a logical perspective. His general role in the GEC has been an advisor, and contributing to discussions about the direction that we take. He ensures that marketing does its job.
Callum Gare
Callum Gare is in year 11 at the Australian Science and Maths School. He is part of the marketing department in our GEC team. He is also researching feasible green technologies and environmental issues. He also helps with the computer based stuff.
Simon Lee
Simon Lee is a year 11 student at the Australian Science and Mathematics School. His role in the GEC has been to create spread sheets of the quarterly results of the company, creating predictions, interpreting the data, and giving advice of future decisions. He has been instrumental with everything technical.
Jordon Oreilly
This is Jordon’s 1st year in the GEC; he was sadly denied his proposal for CEO. He likes turtles. Jordon's Strong points are in public relations and unit managing and environmental impacts of big and small business. And Jordon really likes turtles.
Matt Curyer
Matthew James Curyer, 16, determined, ambitious, confident, organized, and decisive. He is able to work well with others and produce required items done to a good standard on time. The role of operations was undertaken by him along with help, most of the calculations of the productions were done by him. He was able to give the group the leg-up it needed at the beginning of the GEC.
Jason Byrne
He is Jason. His main job within GEC was managing Finance factors and overseeing the financial research. He intends to be involved in the GEC within ASMS again using the experience gained from this year to benefit the team. The legacy will live on through the young one.
Amir Shahbedin
Amir is 16 years old. He has three brothers and he really likes playing soccer with them. He was involved with the financial group and was responsible for many different aspects of the other groups too.
Mentor Profiles
Jason Loke - Teacher Mentor
Jason has been teaching for 4½ years now since retiring from Mango farming in the Northern Territory. His subject foci are Mathematics and Physics and he has been an active participant in the lunch time sporting activities that sees staff compete with and against students. Jason has an open door policy (especially considering there aren’t doors at the ASMS) and students are often approaching him for support and advice regarding their academic and personal needs.
