Georgia Wright is a Year 11 student, who has participated in the ABW Global Enterprise Challenge for the last two years. Her favourite subject at school is Modern History.
John Blackley is a Year 11 student who has been a member of the school SRC for three years. In 2009 he was the SRC Treasurer. This is his first year in the ABW team. He is a keen computer and historian enthusiast.
Samantha Searle is a Year 12 student who has been involved in ABW for the last two years. She is currently one of the School Captains and has been involved in the school SRC for the last four years. In 2009 she won the Long Tan Leadership Award. She is an all round academic achiever. She is one of the CEO’s that have been the driving and motivating force in this year’s team.
Michael Clark is a Year 11 student and Figtree High School's SRC President, who participates in many extra-curricular activities and charity events, in addition is pro marketing and the Technology Manager of ABW.
Georgia Trigg is a Year 11 student who has been involved in the ABW for the last two years. She is currently one of the school Presidents and has been involved in the school SRC for the last four years. She represents the school in the NSW Triathlon.
Bernita Hay is a Year 12 student who has been involved in the ABW team for the last three years. She was part of the 2009 winning team. She performs well in all her academic pursuits. She is one of the CEO’s in this year’s team and she has been an important driving and motivating force.
Harrison Palmer is a Year 11 student who is a member of the school SRC. He has been involved in the Duke of Edinburgh Award Scheme and is involved in school fundraiser's. This will be his first year in the ABW Challenge.
Jeremy Bogovac is a Year 10 student who has shown an excellent ability in all his subjects. He is a member of the school SRC and is involved in tennis competitions and other school sports teams. This is his first year in the ABW team.
Blake Daet-Gibson is a Year 12 student who is an all round performer in all his subjects. He is very interested in Business Studies and Economics and his motto is “massive profits”. This is his first year in the ABW team.
Jake Kellner is a Year 12 student who is involved in the Duke of Edinburgh Award Scheme. He is an all round academic student who enjoys Maths and Engineering. He has been a valuable member of the ABW finance team this year.
The ABW team of Figtree High can be described as a 'generational' one - each year past students ascend the ranks to team leaders, effectively running operations and passing skills onto the junior members. Roles are chosen and delegated respectively each year. This has enabled all students to become involved and return to the competition aimed with a wealth of support and experience.
Mentors - Catherine Ramos, Allan Foster and Andrew Ramos
Catherine Ramos- has been involved in the ABW Global Challenge since the first competition in Sydney. She has co-ordinated the program at Figtree for all but 2 years. She is the main mentor and assists the students in setting up their meetings and communication. She is the HSIE Head Teacher and her main interests are teaching Ancient History, Duke of Edinburgh hiking expeditions and travelling to archaeological sites.
Allan Foster- Allan has joined the ABW Figtree High Team this year. He is a keen beginning teacher, who enjoys being involved in extra-curricula activities. He is an English/History teacher with a back ground in social justice issues.
Andrew Ramos is a TAS teacher with three years experience in the ABW challenge. He co-ordinated the 2009 team and was part of the team that won the 2008 ABW challenge (National section). He is a keen teacher who is involved in many extra-curricula activities such as Duke of Edinburgh, school camps and fundraising events. He was an acting Year Advisor in 2009.
