Stephen Boyle is the Associate Head of the School of Management of the University of South Australia. He originally trained as a professional musician and later as an arts manager before teaching at both the WA Academy of Performing Arts (WAAPA) and UniSA. He has an MBA from UniSA and PhD in Economics from Macquarie University.

He teaches Strategic Management, Event Management and Business Planning at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels and in a number of executive training programs. He has published in a number of international journals and undertaken a number of consultancies, most recently for Austrade and the Hong Kong Arts Festival.
